Ironically, I didn’t have a strong desire to play the piano when I was younger. I occasionally fiddled with the keys, but at seventeen, I felt drawn to the instrument (partly because I was constantly listening to piano instrumentals on YouTube). At the time, I was navigating a difficult season of life and wrestling with transitions I didn’t feel ready for. However, I always found a sense of peace while playing; it made my circumstances feel much less intimidating.

I know God met me in those moments. He gave me the grace to learn and the discipline to play skillfully. Though I once doubted my own capabilities, God showed me otherwise. Over the last twelve years, I have led worship and played piano at several churches and on my college campus. These experiences inspired me to encourage and teach others the gift of music. With a willing and teachable heart, anyone can learn the piano—and I want to help you get there. I focus on creating a patient, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring their own musical journey.
